Southern California Interdisciplinary Law Journal

Home

The Southern California Interdisciplinary Law Journal (ILJ) was founded in 1991 to assess intersections between the law and contemporary academia, conceive new and unique legal methodology, and seek solutions to pressing societal issues.

The Journal seeks to do this by challenging traditional legal scholarship through the perspectives of disciplines upon which the law is premised. As a result, the Journal provides a framework upon which the future of the law must grow.

Each year, ILJ publishes one volume, which is produced in three separate issues. Each issue normally contains several articles written by outside contributors and several notes written by ILJ staff members. In addition, the Journal occasionally hosts a symposium in order to explore timely or controversial areas of law.
